Greetings From Your President
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break with friends and family? I
know I took care of some delicious food but luckily we were able to get some
bird hunting in after dinner which I was able to walk it off enough for
round 2! I was chasing birds in another state (I know I know but shhh...)
with great success we took our limits all 4 days out among the 4 of us. I
will not be disclosing my location for safety reasons.
How did everyone else do? any big Bucks? Birds? I saw lots of ducks & geese
flying around this weekend any other reports? How about Ice? I see the
Rooster reporting that Deerfield is getting close.
I don't have much to report on commission wise but I do expect to have a
follow up deer management meeting coming shortly. I have received lots of
great input from members regarding their opinions on the current system. I
tend to agree with most of the thoughts especially with trying to create
more hunting opportunities for resident deer hunters.
Hope to see all of you and hear all the hunting stories at the lunch
meeting.

Next month we will be hearing some of the successful hunting stories from this fall from our more adept members. Please bring pictures. It is also that time of year for elections and nominations.
Please fill free to step up and be a member of our board. It is not much work and we need input on issues more than anything. We meet a few times a year is all.
If you did not notice, we did not have a fundraiser this year. The hunt film tour guys took a year off and we hope they will be in full swing soon. If anyone has a new, fresh idea for a fundraiser, please let us know
