Greetings From Your President
Happy November! I’m writing this just after our first real cold snap and man those first cold days really reach in and touch the bones don’t they? Hopefully this will get the wildlife moving and bring out the big boys! Any success stories so far? I have been hunting with my bow as it’s the only tag I have this year but have yet to come across the buck I’m after. This cold snap should kick them into gear.
How was the first few weeks of bird hunting? I keep getting mixed reviews, it seems like the best reviews are coming from up north? We took 5 birds the first day amongst 3 guys and only 3 the next day So I have a pretty neutral opinion so far but have only been out 2 days.
How about ducks and geese? I have seen a few flying around but no big waves as of yet.
There isn’t much as far as commission news to report on as typical this gets to be a slower time of year for fireworks… We do have Mr. Robling visiting at the luncheon this month so definitely looking forward to seeing you all there!

Our secretary of the Game Fish and Parks will be our program next month. Kevin Robling comes once a year to meet with us. We will visit about proposed changes to the deer draw system, get updates on the shooting range and whatever other issues that are important to the Sportsmen of South Dakota. This is a very important meeting to have good attendance. Please bring a guest.
The Queen of Hearts pot has been growing. The pot sits at $445 with 18 cards left. There could be a winner soon. Do not miss out
